Did you know? Insurance covers CPAP Therapy, including re-ordering of common replacement parts on a regular basis.
Frequently, we find that PAP Supplies can be confusing for many of our patients… what needs to be re-ordered, and how often does insurance allow for new supplies?
Overall, you can follow the rule of “1, 3, 6” – there are supplies that can be ordered every month, every three months, and every six months.
Every 1 Month:
There are a number of parts for your PAP machine that can (and should!) be re-ordered every month. Your insurance will allow for these replacement parts on a monthly basis. The monthly replacements include:
- Nasal Cushion
- Nasal Pillow
- Disposable Filter
- Oral Cushion
Every 3 Months:
There are several parts of your PAP machine that should be replaced quarterly (every 3 months). Your insurance will allow for these replacement parts on a quarterly basis. The quarterly replacements include:
- Mask Interface
- Tubing
- Tubing with Heating
Every 6 Months:
There are several parts of your PAP machine that should be replaced twice per year (every 6 months). Your insurance will allow for these replacement parts on a bi-annual basis. The bi-annual replacements include:
- Non-Disposable Filter
- Humidifier Chamber
- Headgear
- Chinstrap
